If you subscribed the the newsletter you've probably seen. Okay, so who else here is bitterly disappointed? The only one I thought was really impressive was the tiny mage one. The last two were so low-effort... and well, the top winner registers as more of an okay to me than a real stunner. It's a decent concept.. but I wasn't really wowed.
The tiny mage one was a wow though... |

"Intellectually" Intelligent
You're 'Intellectually Intelligent.' That pretty much means that you're good with theoretical ideas and concepts - but this comes to you naturally. More or less, you're a natural brainiac. Good for you.
40% theoretical intelligence 60% natural intelligence

You know, I didn't know where would suit this best at first, on the Dream or Off. I decided on my livejournal in the end since it has more to do with my own personal feelings and wishes than other people's. It's a shame too, Peej should see this. After all, here I am, a 'coporation hating' liberal, and I am defending the right of a faceless corporation to profit from their intellectual property. Even better, I say that some poor people act immorally, and do take things which are not theres, believing they deserve them just for being poor... and that, it's wrong.
Today it came to my attention that some people here have used the Dream as a means of downloading commerical games that they can not afford. I was appalled and outraged by this because, well I don't think people should abuse the social aspect of this site to partner up for real crimes. Yes, it's only theft, and that's seen as barely a crime by a lot of people, but it's still wrong. It's not 'victimless' and the people involved are really shameful to say that life owes them luxuries they can't afford.
I mean, I'm compassionate enough as situations warrent. I would go far easier on the man who steals a loaf of bread to feed his starving family, or a blanket to keep them from freezing. Yes, it's still not right, but if it's a desperately needed necessity of life, I feel sympathy. No one needs video games. I have never heard of anyone dying due to lack of MP3s or movies or the latest computer game. When you feel the need to take things because "$50 is a lot of money!" you are being scum. I am sorry, but what a self little twit you are. You make all those who are poor look bad with your greed. It makes you a thief. If you don't want to be a thief, stop stealing!
Using this site as a vehicle to meet people that will send you pirated software just adds a whole nother dimension of wrongness. Those laws are ever changing, what if this site ended up being held somehow responsible and you ruined it for everyone else? Either way, it doesn't deserve to be stained by your utter lack of morals.
The unrepentant, RL thieves who dwell on MZDM should be glad I'm not in charge of the bannings or I would ban you and all your alts in a heartbeat. Then you would really have something to cry until you die about.
Oh and why does it matter to me when people aren't paid for their creations? I am an artist. I don't appreciate the theft of my work, and believe that one should treat others as they would want to be treated. As an extention when it comes to being harsh or cruel, I dish it out, but I'l take it right back. |

Raah! I haven't posted in ages, but I must say this fit so well I had to. I'm not really sure how "Discrimination" would be seen as a hidden talent. Funny though, considering my characters' "discriminating" tastes when it comes to romantic partners.
In other news I poked my eye and it hurt. True story, don't laugh.
I also finally go "Grandmaster" on Word Poker. Hooray for me! |

As the title says I went and made myself some icons today. They are from Disgaea, because I love that game. Right now I've got two of Laharl, and then I made one of Etna and Flonne too, but I can only have three. Because Harlie is such a charming little bastard, I really want to use both of his. Etna might be more appropriate for that thrid spot, as she's another demon, but I liked Flonne too. Hmm.. but is "Angel Trainee" even workable for me? |

Ah.. Well Sonic lost.. horribly, but I was expecting it. Anyhow now it's Mario vs Sephiroth. Can Mario ever lose (to someone besides Link, that is); Do forces conspire in his favor? Only time will tell.
Character Battle II
Old Entry:
Why? Because he's Sonic, of course, and he's up against Cloud so things could get tricky! |

Ah... because you know I don't announce it when I just have the B&W up. Well it took days longer than I intended, but the colored version is up now. Hmm... I think it might be a bit dark. It's supposed to be a night scene but der... the sky kinda blots out the linework on that part. I wonder if I could get away with lightening it a bit? I'll have to think about that. |

Apparently despite all the drama and cries of foul during the close, flip flopping matches of the Gamefaqs Character Battle last year, people are still shocked and enfuriated that OMG... people cheat on this contest. The whining that it is rigged and unfair, that CJayC cheats to make sure Mario wins go on. You know perhaps he does cheat. Last year he threw out enough of Crono's votes so Mario would win, and this year when Mario gets a suspicious number of votes at the end he looks the other way. Perhaps he gives Mario an extra hand to get into the finals, I can't say it's not a possiblity. However... who really cares? Is it worth getting angry about? It's a stupid contest on a game site. It doesn't matter for much in the scheme of things and hey... last year we saw how full fo cheating it was. People should just accept it as it is, but nope. Not only are all the Mario fans rubbing it in the Crono fans faces, and all the Crono fans screaming for a recount, but people are threatening to kill themselves, or at least delete their accounts and never come back forever. How stupid can you get? Granted I think it'd be cool if Mario lost, I never really gave a shit about him as a character, and it would piss off Matt (that alone would be worth it), but ah well.
Ah.... and on the other side of things Paul brought up an attitude towards artwork that really pisses me off. Apparently he's been talking with some whiny people who take it far too personally when artists better than them criticize their own work. Geez... what whiny little babies. Look... realizing your own weaknesses is a major part of improving them. If you just squeal and give yourself a gold star for every scribble you do, then you'll never have the motivation to get better. Real artists are the ones that are hard on themselves, that push and strive to be better. It's a never ending process, and if a mediocre artist can't realize and accept this without taking it personally when it doesn't even involve them, then they need some sense knocked into them. Respecting that everyone is on the same path as you, even if they are a bit further along is crucial. So respect other artists right to not be pleased with their own work. Just because you see them as a bit further along in the discipline than you, it doesn't mean that their work is done!
Now I feel all annoyed. Gah.. I ought to go color. |
